Position Overview
We are a full-service construction company handling projects of all sizes. Our services include roadway, railway, and bridge construction, asphalt manufacturing and paving, and sitework and development. Each year, we successfully complete hundreds of public and private projects, delivering innovative solutions and exceptional value for our clients. We are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to our team. This position will be overseeing project timelines, budgets, and team coordination to ensure successful project completion. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality and compliance.
- Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor progress and address issues.
- Ensure all projects adhere to safety standards and regulations.
- Review plans, proposals, specifications, RFPs, and other project-related documents to develop accurate and competitive estimates/bid packages.
- Solicit and gather estimates from subcontractors and vendors to compile estimate packages.
- Prepare reports and analyses related to estimating as requested by management.
- Review labor, equipment, and material costs to prepare estimate/bid packages.
- Create accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
- Produce detailed final contract estimates for Asphalt Paving and Roadway/Site Development Projects.
- Assess project risks and exposures, analyzing costs and reflecting them in estimates.
- Identify potential construction issues during the estimating process.
- Propose value-engineering alternatives.
Qualifications
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience is REQUIRED.
- Proficient in HCSS or other equivalent estimating software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in asphalt laydown and/or roadway construction operations.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and written specifications.
- Attention to detail, including the ability to prepare and interpret spreadsheets and other data.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or PM/Estimator
- Experience working for a General Contractor as an PM/Estimator on Department of Transportation or other roadway projects ranging from $1M to $25M is required.
